I LOVE MY JEM!!! - What a beautiful guitar!

For years I've been banging on a Les Paul, not even thinking about trying a Jem because Steve Vai, though an EXCELLENT guitar player, just wasn't a hero of mine. I'm really into Ace Frehley because when I was a kid, it's his guitar playing that got me jumping up and down on my bed playing air guitar. Jem's are made in Japan, and couldn't possibly be something I was interested in. *Then I had bought a T-Shirt with famous guitars on the back and one of them was Steve Vai's 77FP. For some reason I couldn't stop looking at that picture and started shopping for one. I was able to find someone on EBay with a 77FP for sale and I went ahead and dropped $1100 bucks on a 98' model 77FP. Right away I noticed the quality in the burgandy lined case. After plugging it into my Marshall half stack and playing it I totally fell in love with it. Everything about the guitar was perfect. It is now my main axe and I couldn't imagine doing a gig without it, although it is so beautiful I would like to put it away somewhere so I'm not beating on it, weekend after weekend. I am a new fan of the Jem, as well as a new member here at jemsite. I have photo's of me using my 77FP with my cover band here in Massachusetts. I think I know exactly what you mean by wanting to put away so as to not ding it or anything. I'm so in love with my Jem, JEM7DBk which I bought recently, that I have to walk away from it once in a while just to admire the beauty of it. :biggrin:
