I need jem tone knobs,slecter knob exc.

I just bought a shocking pink rg550 and need the green ones. I also need to know how to switch the colors of the pickups. Do I paint them or can i get new covers

As far as the pickups go, DiMarzio makes them in different colors. So you shouldn't have a prob there...

However I think I read somewhere that the green knobs like the old Jems had are no longer around, or at least extremely hard to find. I'm not sure, but it was here somewhere that I read that.

I replaced the yellow knobs on my 777LNG with green ones, and actually found them at a little mom and pop music shop. They were hanging there under a year's worth of dust...lol.

You can get any DiMarzio Pickup in any color by special order. *It doesn't cost more, it just takes a couple of weeks.

What Van Halen sound do you want? *The Manly Van Halen 1 sound? *or the awful whimpy chorus/distortion sound he's been using for the last buncha years?

I use an Evo in the bridge and PAF in the neck. *They work nicely together. * Eddie's VH1 sound was all about that Marshall, IMO. *His later sound can be acheived relatively easily thru and solid state amp over $600.

I was thinking a Breed in the bridge and a tone zone in neck, but I've been told a tone zone in the brige and an air norton in the neck? I want something like a fair warning sound, that still has the balls but still can ring out the chorusie type stuff

anyone know a good shop in seattle to have the pick ups insatlled?? and anymore selections on the pick up's now i'm thinking a evo in the bridge a blues driver in the middle and a tonezone in the neck.

I think a Tone Zone in the neck would sound really bad. Tone Zone has a ton of low end. The Tone Zone bridge/Air Norton neck is pretty standard. If you want EVO bridge why not "EVO neck" @ the neck pos?
