I Now Have The Vine!!!

After many years of craving for a Jem Vine, *sighs* I FINALLY got one!!!!

I named her "Sparky."

The 2002 VSBL IMHO is far better looking in person--like most Jems are.

The evolutions are high and crisp in tone. I get nice clean tones and crunchy distortion with these pickups.
So glad I held out for this. I wanted to see what NAMM 2007 would bring before buying. After NAMM 2007 came, I was confident in going for the 2002 VSBL for that "unique Jem"...and being able to afford it too!
Fortunately, I kept up my hunting skills for the 2002 VSBL and snagged her for $1200! I'll say it about the seller now that I have it....FOOL!!!!

Anyways I could talk more about this, but let's get to the rest of the pictures. I would not dare talk about my new Jem without posting pics!

Had some trouble with getting good light, but they'll have to do for now. Enjoy!

Is there some specific difference of 02 to 03? (other than LP compared to EP??)

It seems like most of you say '02 as if the guitar is godlier than any other year...

Probably personal preference, but I believe majority prefer Lo-Pro verses Edge-Pro? I prefer Lo-Pro for now.

Well, I'll admit it's not a horrible touch adding the pearloid.
HOWEVER..., I definitely do NOT want that pearloid on my VSBL!

The original just looks the best to me. Gives it a nice classly look IMO.

BTY, thanks for the recommendation on getting the 2002 VSBL verses later.

I think if I was to mod the blue one at all it'd be with blue Dimarzio pickups and knobs. The guard is OK. Black might look good too.

OOPS!!! I forgot to write that the VRMR vine is way better than the dots. My fault!!!

Pearloid toilet seat? That would look better than a pearloid pickguard.
