I want to stabilize my tremolo on my UV777BK: help?

Well I hardly use the tremolo on my Ibanez Universe 777. The tremolo is more of a pain than anything. I am usually a tremolo guy but on the 7-string I just never use it. I would much rather have a stationary bridge on my Universe. What is the best way to stabilize the trem? if you have done this before please post links, etc. I want to do this in as safe of a manner as possible without doing any severe alteration to the guitar. I'd imagine I could just remove the back panel and install something to prevent the tremolo from moving in either direction?

Thanks in advance.

You could either block it, or install a Tremol-no. The blocking option is cheaper, but with the Tremol-no you can switch between fully-floating and locked just by turning a screw.

I installed ESP Arming Adjusters in my UV and I love it. It requires 4 small screws in the trem spring cavity. But blocking it with a deck of cards cut to fit inside it would be the cheapest and easiest solution.
