Question

If you were going to sell your UV77MC...

I'm curious what valuation UV77MC owners put on there instruments. It would be cool to see some posts (with pics -- thats the rule for swirl threads) where the owners provide their opinion on what they think the instrument is worth. This does not mean that you are selling it, but if, let's say, all of your retirement was in Enron and you had to make the nigh-ultimate sacrifice what do you think would be a fair price. And 'priceless' or 'a million dollars' is not an answer.

I only ask this because so few MCs are available these days that it is hard to guage their value.

Re: If you were going to sell your UV77MC...

I dont own an old factory Ibanez MC...........just custom ones, but I usually see em go between $3500 and $5000. If I had the extra cash......I wouldnt mind paying that for one, depending on the swirl. Ive always wanted one. I had one ordered once way back when they were first on the market, and the waiting list was like 6mos to a year, but I got injured at work and had to go on workmans comp and couldnt afford to pay it off..................so I lost it with out ever having had it. I suspect though, that if I had one, I would deem it as "priceless"

Well I own 2 and wouldn`t sell them for anything in the world right now, but if I had real money problems I`m shure I could get at least 20000Nkr or about 3500 dollars a piece here in Norway.

i would probaly want at least $4200.00- $5000.00 since i know how hard it is to find a good swirl.

After I spoke to Darren about the re-swirl on my UV77MC, he said it was the last one he was going to do. For that reason, I will not sell it. You can ask my kid when I'm in the ground, though...

I'm sort of with you on this one - I don't really play my UVMC very much, but if I ever sold it, I'd probably never be able to replace it, so, it's unlikely to ever go up for sale.

Besides, I like the colours, all swirly like.......
