Is it me or has the Jem 777VBK being reissued? - I saw 3 of

During the past few days I've seen 3 brand new Jem 777VBKs in the guitars stores over here in Paris. I thought that they were no longer made...anyone got info on that?

Very interesting, but all you have to do is look at the serial # to answer your own question. Most likely the distributor found a little unsold stash of them, happens all the time. I'd definately be interested in them, depending on the price of course

Reissuing the VBKs? *Cool!

In my opinion the Jems are fraught with some VERY dated colors. *While some folks personal opinion and tastes favor those colors the fact of the matter is that many of them being made as a current producting model would of been laughed off the drawing board at the mere suggestion of the color schemes.

The VBK is very close to the least of the worst. *The white Jems are a nice timeless classic. *The floral prints are kind of odd but manage to remain unique. *The original black and root beer models have managed to age pretty well too.

But man oh man....there are some Jems going for a price that most folks would consider insane for the color scheme.

I'd love to see some very classic and timeless colors and elements come out for Jems. *

I was wrong. they are used, but they just look dead mint. They are being sold for around 1200/1300 $.

Which poses the question...for the same money, would you prefer a used but mint 777VBK or a 7DBK?

I'd buy the VBK, change the PU covers and tone/volume knobs and that's it!

LGM, you are my hero brother. *The 777vbk rules man. *It is my baby, has been since I was 12 years old. *Serves me well to this day, and it IS nicer that the dbk. *No offence to anyone, the dbk is just my 2nd pick of the two.
