Is it worth

I have a jem7v WH which is an old model that has the lo-pro edge bridge. I was wondering whether is it worth to trade in for a Ibanez JPM 1. Will I lose money in terms of the prices of each model and how much is it worth now?

I'd say they're about equal in value to Vai fans and to Petrucci fans. They're both good guitars.

The bottom line is that IF you are happy with the trade (i.e. you will not regret it later) then that's it.

pretty much ANY "SIG" guitar is rarer than a VWH

VWH's are great axes, but I can see where the thought of a JPM-P1 would be ...........tempting. This is a toughy.

Play the P1 before the trade if you can

I would keep the P1 over a VWH, but really its up to you. The P1 is much more sought after, but if you don't care about value and just want a good VWH then trade, but the P1 and VWH aren't gonna play that much diffrently anyway, so I would probably just keep the P1 myself.
