Is the BSB out production or not?? - I´m a bit confused...

Simply... Everyone keeps saying that the BSB isn´t produced anymore. But then tell me why the Japanese Ibanez web site has the BSB on it??? And why they told in a store (here in finland) that it is still produced.

Is just that it´s out of production in America???
Tell me...

Yes it's very much available in Asia for whatever reasons I do not know....I've seen a couple in my country, Singapore, both of them are 2000 models. I haven't seen any 2001 models though. Ibanez usually allocates models to different regions based on their demand. For example in Japan and some parts of Asia you can get every single Paul Gilbert model! Even those weird Voilin shaped ones!

In America....Only the pgm30...sad sad.

They also might have halted production, with leftovers being used to sellout the run... glen

I think they're not produced anymore, but some are still in stocks in Europe (maybe in Asia too).
Of course I have no proof of that, all I can say is that my brand new BSB was made in '98, if the serial number tells true...

But Chris says he saw 2k models, so I'm confused too...

The BSB appears in the European 2001 catalog and the price list along with the 77FP, the 7DBK and the 555. They seem to have a large overstock.

I downloaded the Swedish catalog and concluded that it was two years old because it had the BSB and the 77FP in it. Guess I was wrong.

Just for fun, here's the swedish prices (in USD):

BSB * * *$2760
77FP * *$2830
7DBK * *$2165
7VWH * $3050
555 * * *$1430
UV777 *$2530

SalemB, do you have the 2001 edition of the catalog? I was just wondering if they have different catalogs for each European country.

I have an Ibanez 2001 catalogue.
It lists all 3 JEM7's of late, DBK, BSB and VWH!
Also lists the damn JEM555!

Talked to a guy in a store in the *UK, he said DBK was out of stock from UK supplier, it had been discontinued and UK only had BSB and VWH left??

Cowcowcow...I've seen a few Pgm100s on ebay before. Very nice guitars. As for the other models you can try the japanese guitar stores like ishibashi and ikebe-gakki. I'm not too sure about the pgm iceman though. I've seen it on Paul's site but never anywhere else so it might very well be a custom. But I have seen the violin shaped ones.

I downloaded the catalog on .pdf format from www.musikborsen.se/ibanez_elgitarr.pdf. It is all translated to Swedish and has the distributors logo in it so I guess that this is not an official Ibanez catalog, but rather the distributors own variation on the european catalog.

The catalog that came to Brazil shows only the 7VWH and 7DBK. No BSB here... But I could find 3 brand new BSBs and 2 FP leftwovers at a store in Sao Paulo.

About the Sweedish prices... I thought prices in Brazil were too high, but...

Here they are (USD):

7DBK - 1730,00
7VWH - 2480,00
