I would love to have one, but I was more than a bit surprised by the tolerances for the vine. Rich's explanation sounds dead on to me.

I can't answer your question but I can tell you the following.

The second one doesn't make sense to me. Mine was one of the very last to be numbered (in around 1996) and it looks like the top one. It also has a lot less filler around the inlays.

Apart from that the second one does look real.
