I hope you guys all realize that, by paying more than say, $850 for a Jem, all you're doing is allowing Steve Vai to live in a nice big mansion.

Just wanted to make sure you all understood that.

It's worth it to me JT, and obviously MANY MANY others

And with all of his accomplishments, Steve could live in a mansion without the Jem having ever even been a thought in the Ibanez womb

Yeah, I guess if you're making the music you want to make with it, then it's worth the money. I personally can't justify paying anywhere near 5 grand for a guitar that lights up. But, that's just me.

See, now that's the thing, some people like art...and pay through the roof for something that just looks weird. Some people also like art, but they like to play the art at the sametime.

I paid $1495 for my PMC brand new in 1993 in sydney, when jems werent cool and were throw aways!!

Man, Jems were never throw aways or uncool here in Adelaide. They have always been sort after here.

PMC's & GMC's were retailing for around $3500 at that time ('93). You did well to get one at that price. Do you still have it??? Want to trade for an FP?
