Jem 555 Price and Serial Number ?

Hi

I have read the Faq but couldn't get any Information how i can read my Jem's 555 serial Number

JEM 555 BK C 6088460

1. it has more then 6 digit numbers
2. It can't be a 1960 model
3. What means C ?

Can anybody help me please ?

By the way, i bought my 555 for 535 EURO ? with a case in nearly mint condition. I think this was a very good price or do you still think i should have bought another giutar than the 555 compared with this price?

It's a JEM555. The "C" means that it was made in the Korean Cort factory. Chances are it's a 1996 model. $535.00 is probably more than most would pay for a JEM555, but...if you like it that's all that matters.

Simply because the first numeral is a "6", and standard Ibanez serial numbers seem to have the factory prefix followed by a digit representing the year of manufacture.

So, 1996 (or '96) would be "6".

I think you're right because mine is a 2000 model and its serial number is C0xxxxxxx.
