Stay away from all Asia evilbay sellers bro!- its a lucky dip if you buy a guitar on line, best save some cash next time & shop around the USA & see what you can get in person is the best bidd!
they should shut that evilFuc#er down for good! maybe so many bro's won't have buyer remorse or get done over!
goodluck bro!- Jake.
What's wrong with Asian e-bay sellers? Sure there are a lot of scammers, but what about those honest ones? I don't think it's fair to judge them that way. If you're smart, you'll know where to look. Who do you mean by evilFuc#er? If it's the seller, johliatay stated that it was his own fault that the
neck joint
cracks came to be.

True - I scored a beautiful BFP from a seller in Taiwan. True to his word in every way. Kami - I think he was referring to shutting down evil-bay

Oh, my mistake. Yeah, evilbay has to be shut down. But just think of the funny larruping auctions we'll miss out on.

Oh yeah, those exquiste, costful, fair-sounding, musical, IBANEZ, alluring, electrical, admirable, guitar auctions.

Yeah, did you take all the strings out at the same time? if so, between the shipping, and the sudden tension change on the neck joint its pretty normal that the finish cracks appear...
anyway, post pics!

Re: Jem 777dy stuck in customs
That is what I did. I took it to a luthier and he said the same thing. I wanted him to check it over and make sure it was in proper working order.
Other than cleaning the
fret board
he said it was perfect. He did tell me I should have waited a few days to change the strings to avoid all the tension the guitar had gone through the last few days.
I will post pics tonight if I can.

Re: Jem 777dy stuck in customs
Well, if the guitar has been shipped, then most likely it's been through a few climate changes (and if flown, then it's definately been cooled) so the small fractures don't surprise me.
To be honest, I don't think there's anything to compain about, if it showed up pristine, then the guy that sold you it would hvae had no idea that that was about to happen, and from the looks of the pictures you got exactly what was described, so I wouldn't knock it. Just be glad you got a DY in such pristine condition, it's a good un
