JEM 777LNG Registry

I know there is a thread already created for this by SiPhi, but I wanted to make a more centralized way (An Index on this front page) of keeping track of LNG's, and for others to look up instead of fishing through pages of threads. I scoured this site, Rich's site, Google, etc... and obtained pictures (mainly the back signature and the front body) in order for it to be accounted for. And, if there is another site or someone who has a list they want to merge with this, let me know.

As you can see it will be a long way before getting even half way. But, if you have an LNG not highlighted, I would like the input and the picture of the signature/front. Either posted here or send to LMDAVE@yahoo.com, and I'll keep it updated as long as I can still edit this top thread.

Anyone with a request for a picture of a particular # just let me know.

So, if it's on the list, the picture exist

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

This is a great idea Dave. This should be stickied!!

As an extra thought, I've seen a few posts in the past regarding stolen LNG's. Maybe highlight those numbers in another color? My thinking is that it may bring more attention to those guitars..............

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Thanks guys, I was hoping that if more thought this was a good idea to have it as a sticky so it can be seen by any LNG fly by'ers. That's a good idea on the stolen number also.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

great, man!

You've kinda read my thoughts. After that fake LNG eBay auction appeared recently ... - while posting my anti-auction there I've been thinking just the same way: it's necessary to create sort of catalog of LNG with pictures of guitars and signatures.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Hi Guys,

Agree with all that's been said so far. Only trouble I have is that My LNG came from Japan without the trem plate. Therefore I have no Idea of the Signature no. only the neck plate s/no. Which is a shame, coz I've been trying to find out for the last few years.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

The other registry thread started out with posting LNG #1, but the picture is not there. I was not even aware of #1, does anyone have the picture? And of course, if you're reading this and have a numbered LNG to submit, please do.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Thanks to Shane155 for filling in almost 20 blanks. WE are now up to 78, so I have 10% of the LNGs logged and pictured.

I was hoping to spread the word around on Facebook or other such mass media and have all guitarist share the request for LNGs even if they are not LNG fans, just to get it across, but did have much luck on it getting shared.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

Thanks Sonny, I'll have to check that email account when I get home from work, I should have checked this morning. I graduated high school in 1989 and bought an Ibanez RG570EX back then for almost $900, I wish I splurged extra for the neon JEM's instead, but I didn't take care of guitars too well back then when I was a teen, but I now found and own a few of the original 1987 JEM's. Still have my 570 though, it's a great guitar made to JEM standards back then.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

JEM 777LNG SERIAL # 870032

I came across this guitar and the website expired but picture still existed, just a serial number but no signature:

from searching more, this appears to be Vai's personal unsigned LNG and also the one he used in the Stand Up video.

So, this is a nice piece on LNG history to document, but this may have already been known by some.

Re: JEM 777LNG Registry

The trem doesn't look like Edge but Floyd Rose - or it's just because of low-res pictures and my poor eyes?
