Jem 7VSBL with pearloid pickguard

Hi,

Thanks to our very own EKG I recently upgraded my Jem replacing the white pickguard with a pearloid one ordered from EKG Custom Shop

Spices up the old plain look of the all white imo

That pickguard makes a world of difference... Why didn't Ibanez think of that?

I'm sure they thought of it but wanted some differences between the two, but it really does look "right" on the sbl!

Looks cool, I would next think about getting a pearloid truss rod cover.

that's the nicest sparkle blue I've ever seen.

I have one on mine too, with a pearloid truss-rod cover to match. A world of difference...... Should have came that way.......

I for one don't like the white pearloid look with it. Can't really put my finger on why, but it just doesn't look right to me. Glad you like it though

I think the pearloid looks great with the blue sparkle. Adds a bit more depth and vintage vibe to the look. The plain white was just so "bleh".

Has anybody put a blue pearloid pickguard on theirs?

i really like that pickguard. Ibanez proabably didn't put that one there as they wanted it to be different enough from the VWH, as someone said. Thats the first thing i thought when i saw it.
