Jem 7VWH design

what strings are these designed for or doesnt it matter, I`ve just put 10s on mine but had to add an extra two springs for tension, are they really designed for 9s

Re: Jem 7VWH design

thank you very much for the quick reply mate, I was hoing someone would say that, lol, I must admit I go through 9s like nobody`s business, much prefer 10s. Must admit this is a lovely guitar, I only went in the shop for some plectrums and came out with this 7V, couldnt resist it for the price £900. It performs much better than my of Gibsons and Fenders for the style I play, although I probably look a bit of a prat on stage with a JEM at my age but hey who cares, I`ve had to put a lock on the case to stop my lads getting too it, they keep telling me its wasted on me, oh to be young again, lol.

Still got my own hair and teeth but the rest of mes losing it, judging by the standard of groupies I attract these days, lol

Thanks again

LMAO!! I can relate(I used to have hair.....). Yeah, any gauge string will work as long as you set the bridge up with the appropriate number of springs and adjust the claw so you end up at level.

Agreed, £900 is a great price.

I don't think you will look bad on stage with a Jem at any age. Mostly because virtually no-one outside the guitar playing fraternity knows what a Jem actually is!

Congrats Dude
