JEM 90th - WOW

Just had to share with you forum members...

Traded a 7VWH for a JEM 90th this week. *I always wanted one of those and finally found one (thanks Rich). *So I plugged it in when I got home through headphones and thought damn this thing sounds good....but refused to post until I got to test drive it through my rig (didn't want to provide any premature jubilation:biggrin *

Well last night was the test drive and the tone is perfect for me. *I can't believe it. *Well defined and brighter than every other JEM I've played. *Great bass depth added to the signal in the neck position and super but not searing in the bridge position. *Middle position very mild. *Very airy in all positions. *

Now, I'm afraid to follow Rich's cleaning and setup tutorial because I'm scared to alter the tone. *(Rich is laughing his a** off at me for this...so you guys might as well too)

If the new JEM is basswood/EVO's/Ebony board, I don't care what it looks like...I'm going to take it for a test drive. If that doesn't work, I may have to sandblast it:biggrin:. *Rich what's your return policy?

Happy Holidays everyone.

JC

JEM 90th

That one you can return for full value of course, since I didn't make $.02 on it anyway Just as long as you don't screw it up by cleaning it. Wouldn't want that killer tone to disaspear!!

Thanks Rich, but that pack of smokes :ccol: cost $4.00, so you are still ahead of the game. *Don't worry too much I can't get those killer DNA's you are stocking off of mind either.

JEM 90th

I never said anything about straight up:biggrin: *I had to send a call girl to his house for 8 hours. *So if Rich doesn't reply, it's cause he's still to tired.

Congrats on your '90, John.

Totally agree that the tone kicks butt. I really love the sound of in the neck position.

Bingo! I hope the new JEM has ebony. I LOVE the 90, but the JCRG'-1s getting all the attention lately (also ebony w/ 12th marker. Love those blank boards....).
