Jem Body Swap

I have an '89 777VBK with the old school neck joint. Would i be able to swap the body with one of the newer jem bodies, with the AANJ? how difficult would it be to transfer the neck to the new body since the neck holes won't line up?

to fit a new neck with the AANJ (All Access Neck Joint) you'd have to remove a block of wood beneath the last several frets to ensure that the scale was the same. Then you'd fill the old bolt holes with wood dowels and wood glue. Finally drill the new holes.

It's a fair amount of work, but it's totally possible.

possible, but probably not worth all of the work it would take, and it wouldnt end up being that much cheaper.

I heard that if you do that. You will probably have neck stability issues along the way.

Isn't he asking about the opposite anyway, to fit the old neck to a new AANJ body?

He is indeed.
Not really worth the effort but if you really want to try it check projectuitar.com for more info.
