Jem Custom Progress

Hi folks,

Figured I'd share some pics of the progress on the Jem of Many Colors. I received the body today. It was swirled and cleared by ATD. I can't get over how unbelievable the colors and swirl turned out. It looks great with the neck. I just finished ordering the electronics from our friend Brian C so looks like we are on the home stretch. So far, special thanks to LGM for the killer neck, Eddie for an awesome Mahogony body and Darren for the most amazing swirl I've ever seen.

Looks great, John. What color and type of pickups are going in it? That swirl sets off the neck perfectly, how did you ever come to pick those colors?

How bout a group shot with all your swirled friends? (Not sure how many you've still got laying around)

Thanks for the compliments. I've gone a little different route than most people may like. There were a lot of suggestion to use red. I went with Breed Neck and Bridge and a HS-3 middle. The pups will be from neck to bridge, Violet, Blue, Green, Blue and Violet. I've got red knobs planned and a green switch tip. Hope it ends up looking sweet.

I don't know if I have the energy to do the swirl group shot tonight....but I promise that I'll try and get a cool shot tomorrow afternoon. I still have too many guitars.

A really nice blue shady swirl!

I dig the way those blue-purple lines play with eachother...
