Jem FPw/Ibanez logo missing

There is a Jem floral at my local GC that is in very good condition - looks like an original from 88 maybe. The only issue is that the Ibanez logo is gone from the headstock. The Jem logo is there, but not the Ibanez. Also, someone replaced the PAF pro's with Tom Anderson pickups. It comes in the original pink lined case. Asking price is $999. Would you buy or fly?

No. A new logo can be had for $20.

I bought an 88 FP with original case from a pawn shop for $600. Put about $400 into it and sold it for $1,700...

It is the maybe that worries me. Apart from the logo, how sure are you?

The logo on the FP's appear to be painted on, over the clearcoat. I know, because one of mine has some wear on it, so it is conceivable that over the years it has worn off...

not that cheap...but you wont find a lot for that price.fp are a little rare and mostly expensice.if you like it a lot?go for it!only a logo?the logos wear a lot! i had a pgm with a very worn logo.most jems have logo''s you can remove with a plectrum in 1 minute.
if the guitar is nice.i dont see a problem with the logo but it isnt a collector but a player.
let us know and post pictures because i think you buy it.

hey guys,

this one's been sitting in my hands for the past week or so. like lhrocker said, she's in great condition. two nicks on the body, one on the bottom and one on the top, both very small. a little dirty under the pickguard but im gonna clean it up and then when i get the chance put the pink paf's back into it to restore it. I currently have a set of paf pro humbuckers but no jem single in pink, anybody?. also, it had the original tone and volume knob included in the case (which is the shorter, original jem case) but someone at the store said somebody must've taken the pink pickup selector knob so if anyone has one that is the correct color i'd be interested. (RICH? i know you sell whole sets but how about just a selector knob?)

i'll get some pictures up when i get out my camera tomorrow
