"Jem" ideas. Tell me your opinion!

So, I started thinking that maybe doing a swirl on my own, ain't the best idea after all. Thought about a solid colour RG/JEM. My dreamguitar is a JEM777VBK and so I started making new colours one with Virtual JEM.

Here's what I've now:

Yeah, I know. Usually that's a really fast site but they've had some problems today and so it's quite slow =(

have you tried all green pickups, abalone vine and abalone topped knobs? that would be killer on an ebony board.

the all white rig with a MOP vine on ebony would look good, too. pretty classic. like a blend of jemvwh and jem10th.

i think you might want to try a green/yellow combo and a yellow or green vine.

But gotta try that.

I still think that number one will be the yellow one. I love 777VBK and 777VDY so combining those would be nice. I like it simple and high contrast.

As long as you don't got the monkey grip or the lions claw, I suggest you drop the vine as well.
I think it lookes kinda cheap and fake if you only got a jem neck there to make it a "jem".

+1 for no vine. Leave it off. And whats with wanting to paint an RG body black? Surely there are enough of them lying around . . .

No, black isn't my favorite guitar color, far from it, but I just think all these neons and swirls are really just dudes who can't give up the 80s. Even Steve did, he plays a white JEM. That's the one that stand the test of time.

I'm not trying to do a Jem. I'm trying to do a nice looking guitar that's nice to play and fits my budget.
