JEM inlays!

Ok, we are all very particular about our guitars and every detail and feature of our favorite guitars. So, with that being said, how do you feel about our JEM inlays? We have the Vine, Pyramids, Dots, Screws, No Inlays (90th) & Blood Vessels (DNA).

Well a few questions, will we ever see pyramids again, will we ever see another new inlay, or should we just be happy with what we have? Personally, the vine is my favorite; however, I would like to see a new inlay!

So what do you think and would you like to see a new inlay and what would you like to see?

I like pyramids also, but I wouldn't mind seeing a moon or solar eclipse type thing...

They should make a new one that looks like pyramids wrapped around in vine with dissapearing DNA helixes so you are all happy :]

I thought I did a similar thread before! What does that say about the JEM, maybe that it has become a little boring or maybe I got bored with this site, or I can't think of any god topics? Maybe they are all related! I would like to see more than one new JEM next time we get a new JEM. And damn, come on, at least a new interesting UV!!! Sales have to be declining each year on the UV...right?

On the topic of the inlays, I was curious - has anybody noticed that when you are playing this guitar and you look at the high end of the frets (towards the pickups) it looks like the last 2 leaves spell "FU"? The fact that Steve Vai was involved with this guitar makes me wonder if this was intentional (hmmm). I mean - he tends to be a "bit" different. It seems like it would be something that would be in line with his sense of humour. Just curious if anyone has noticed this or has heard anything about it.

I do like the screw inlays and picked up a neck that has them (thinking of making my own Root Beer Jem) I was kinda disappointed that they weren't actual screws. I know a luthier who might be able to replace them with actual screw heads.

The pyramids have always looked a little mystical and somehow powerful to me. I'm glad they are no longer made because it just adds to the mystique.

I think they should do one with falling leaves in abalone.
