Jem JEM7VSBL with swirled pickguard
This is a pickguard I did for ATDVBSL.
The picks dont do the color justice.

As a pickguard its cool as hell! good job
But on the guitar , it makes the VSBL look like somthing you picked up from TOYS-R-US
I dont think it goes well with the VSBL. maybe it will look cool on a
swirl jem

Yeah, on a swirl it would fit more. At the moment theres such a contrast between the all blue body and blue inlay and the multicolour pickgaurd. Its cool though.
How about trying to do one using a few tones of blue and white that would really blend in, yet give it a differnt look

The owner didnt want anymore blue on the guitar then what was already there. This was done per his request. He wanted to add a little ummmf =)
I love the colors and may do a full guitar in it.

hehe..I kinda like it....sure its a bit out there, on a vsbl, but hey. once I get a vsbl, I plan to change the pickguard into something more than plain white. I remember someone here had a clear
white pickguard
with blue swirls in it. now THAT was really cool on the vsbl. How much for a guard job BTW?

I think it looks cool. In fact, that really adds some spice to the 7VSBL. I'd be interested in one for my 7VSBL, if your willing to do one for me, let me know.

Hey guys, here is why I asked HDS to do this: I think we can all agree that the white pickguard on the VSBL is quite plain looking. I wanted something to spice it up, but not anything that was permanent, or expensive. Its vinyl and can easily be peeled off. I kind of like the idea of playing around with different graphics, and changing the look of your pickguard without any damage to the guitar. It's a cool, low cost way to experiment with different pickguard graphics. This was never intedned to compete with the swirl artform, it's simply a way to change the look of a pickguard/guitar without spending a fortune, or doing any damage. (I do have an
ATD swirl
on the way, its not on a JEM though, it will have an LGM inlay too....mmmmm)
I certainly understand that it won't be everyones cup of tea, but it does change the look of the VSBL, and that is what I was after. I think HDS did a very nice job, thanks.

I was about to post and say "I want one for my VSBL", and was surprised to hear it's another HDS vinyl job. Neat! Great way to update the look of the guitar in a non-permanent way, even if it is only the pickguard. I would probably try one with grey, blue, and white (or just clear, if possible) mixed together.
Also, what would be really neat is if he could cut out the adhesives to cover the pickups... I imagine that it wouldn't be hard to do that in such a way as to make it's swirl continuous with the pickguard's.

Yep, I can do pickups to
and have it mach up with the guard. I also go over it with a clear vinyl so it dont get marmed from playing. I can also do glow-in-the dark if wanted. I can print anything you like on the guard in any color other then florescent, vinyl printers cant do that....yet
