wanted to know if anyone has fitted or bought one of these necks from
****... thay are a woody custom neck and come unfinished

MAPLE JEM STYLE NECK WITH BLACK VINE INLAY

they look awesome and is a cheap alternative to a prestige neck or a jem neck

I know for (pretty) sure that the woody custom stuff is made in China, thats why they wont do you anything truly 'custom' - ie, you cant ask for the same neck but with a red mirror vine because they import container loads from china all at once, ready made..

ask him some questions... they rarely answer because they are only interested in box moving, I would seriously doubt that they have imported good HARD maple from north america or canada to make these necks, they will be made from flat sawn chinese soft maple and will almost certainly warp.. I have experience with chinese maple and I wouldnt even use it for flooring....

like teh old saying goes, 'you get what you pay for'

by all means buy one, please let me know what its like when you get it !

I wouldn't .... The ninth fret is on the inlay... and Im sure its not the only imperfection.

a friend of mine bought a jem style neck from that woody custom shop and it is very poor quality.

Basically you do get what you pay for.They are cheap but with a little work they do the job. I put the maple neck with black vine on my custom flame guitar and it plays o.k and does look the part . What you have to remember is, where else can you find a jem lookalike neck for so little money.

personally, i'd check out Cottam Guitars myself, then you know where your vine neck is coming from - i've not bought anything from him (yet, there's still time) but the stuff on the website looks the biz!

This Woody Custom place looks like where all the fake jems go when they get pulled by the bay

Those don't have a truss rod. Only a screw in there.

Save your money and get a real Jem instead.
