Jem Prediction

now that they're coming out with the new Jem 77v, which has the neck/inlay that the BRMR SHOULD HAVE had...

I'm predicting a crop of 77v's on 3bay with dot necks...

Show of hands...How many BRMR owners here are going to/would consider buying a Jem77v, swapping the neck out and putting the 77v body with the BRMR neck up for sale?

They'd probably take a little hit on the price, but it's still less expensive than having it done custom. I'd do it if i had a BRMR.

And if you do it, I want credit on the album.

Re: Jem Prediction

It's a nice idea for the BRMR, but unloading a VBK without the vine could be tough. Then again, a BRMR neck would be much easier to turn into a pyramid neck, which is what should REALLY be on the VBK (PBK). I can see some swap deals working out ...

Re: Jem Prediction

I would take the VBK neck and make it a mirror vine like JJEMMERS VRMR. and the pyramid idea is cool too. what colors whoud u use for the pyramids?

The pyramids like the ones on this Universe would look the best IMO.

Re: Jem Prediction

Great idea, but you are going to take a loss on selling the VBK, a big loss! First off it's not new anymore and why would someone want to buy one with dots when they come with a vine. I would'nt buy one used, unless I could get it for under $1k, doubt it.

Re: Jem Prediction

Adding the vine to the new neck is a step in the right direction, but it still doesn't do it for me, as it has a rosewood fretboard, instead of ebony.

This was my exact thought Kenny! I've been thinking about this too. I am tempted to replace the neck of a Jem77v with the BRMR neck, but the collector in me wants to leave it.
