Jem Prices on evilbay

OK, I must admit, I am torn. There is a PMC on evilbay for a starting price of $2699, and it has a few dings in it, and a BFP with a few dings with a BuyItNow of $2499, it is at $1125 now but the reserve has not been met. I am torn because of course I want them but those are ridiculous prices. On the other hand, it means the Jems I have must be increasing in value. I suppose if noone pays that much, the sellers just lost the money it cost to advertise them. I guess we will see if anyone gets them and what they pay for them, but would anyone care to weigh in?

I think $2700 is a reasonable price to pay for a PMC. I paid more than that for mine and that was about a year and a half ago

It's people like "Ben" that's already offering more money for it with no bids on it. And you wonder why Jem prices are high.............

The PMC is rare as all hell, but is it just me or they pug-fugly? I am certain that they must look much much better in person, my GMC sure does. Pictures don't do MC's justice, but wow it is homely. That said, I do still want one. Wish I could see one in person.

Bob, I don't understand, why would someone offer more money for it with no bids on it, they could just simply "buy it now" and be done with it?

I think he means the PMC.

Either way, crazy that someone would offer that much flat out and it be refused, maybe someone's eyes are bigger their belly if you know what I mean Good luck to the guy though.

Alright, I'm stoopid. I'm still not tracking. The PMC has no bids but you can buy it now for $2700. Why would someone offer him more for it instead of just clicking on the buy it now button and that's it, it's his for $2700? What am I missing?

Staged price hike

$ 2,700 is very reasonable for a PMC in good shape. But just remember WHY it's called EVILBAY. You never REALLY know what you are getting!

Re: Jem Prices on evilbay

IMO it's because it is a fact that any potential buyer have that money or can find the way to have it... just think about it, PMC lovers should have thirty something and money is of course a problem for all of us but, oh man, I want that guitar is the our real thought. That's the market rules!

Just a quick heads-up some jerk-off is trying to pawn off an RG as a Jem, It looks like an RG, and when I asked him for a serial number shot he refused.
