Jem project - CG

Started to make this Jem model in 3d, using Autodesk Maya.

Haven't decided what model yet. Was thinking 77fp =)

this is what I have so far. Sorry no fancy renders yet just screenshots.

looks really nice.
one thing i dislike is the humbucker pickup route: sounds like a route to use 'pickup rings' and i hate 'em.
make them like this:

Yeah I will make different versions for front and back routed jems. Right now I'm following the drawing for jem777.

I wish I could do computer mock ups like that. My dad has a carveright machine and we are trying to use it to make a guitar but neither of us know how to draw it on the computer.

It is always fun to recreate stuff and make them look as real as possible.

This front is lacking the slit and screwholes for the pup switch and holes for pots. Did the routing for a rear routed jem which would work for a frontrouted version aswell if I cover it with a scratchplate

I will make another version of the back for backrouted models.

maybe a LNG, SK or DY =P just having fun with colours. Should get back to work on the neck
