Jem Quicky

Just wondering abou tthe model number it seems that 555 are the lowest value... What about the 7 ones? is the 7 cheaper than the 77 which is cheaper than the 777? 777 being the most valuable? what about universe where do they stand? So im pretty much looking for just how all the models fit together quality wise... mybe some could list them from cheapest to nicest for me? thanks!

Re: Jem Quicky

Nope, the 7 ain't the cheapest compared to the 777, whereas the universe is a totally different ball game, it's a 7 stringer

Re: Jem Quicky

ahh ok essentially you could say a 777vbk is the same quality as a 777LNG... just with those other couple differences. Thanks for the fast help, this forum seems to have alot of knowledgable people. I will need more help in my quest for a JEM!!!!

http://www.jemsite.com/jem/spec.htm

Start there and keep searching as the specs are found here. The neck specs are in the same area but a different page.

Re: Jem Quicky

Saw that link before, although its lacking with measurements. Does anyone know where I can find the radius of the old JEM models? the present day ones have the radius on the Ibanez site but ineed the old ones.

Also, something of concern is the 1 piece neck... have older JEMs been known to warp much? I want to be able to get an uber low action as I would be able to with 5 piece neck, or a bran dnew 1 piece.

Re: Jem Quicky

All jems have a radius of 430mm,but necks vary in thickness and width on differant models.

Have a look through the catalogs section on this web site, they have the measurments of the older jems.

Re: Jem Quicky

Perfect thanks^^

So have the 80s 1 pc jem necks been known for any warping whatsoever? I want to be able to get my action as low on one as i could on a brand new jem with a 5 pc neck.

90th what a odd choice for a year imo.

Wonder what they'll do with the 100th
