JEM reissue prediction???
I was sorting through some of my Guitar World mags that I've kept from the last couple years, and I've noticed how Steve Vai makes quite a few appearances with the older Jems, namely the Loch Ness Green one, etc. Then, Ibanez just got into reissuing the second of Paul Gilberts PGM series, due in the fall. I sort of get the feeling that Jem reissues can't be far off? Perhaps??? Maybe we'll be voting for the reissue Jem to go first in the near future,,,,like what happened with the voting for the PGM models. Seriously,,,there have been so many Jem models,,,some more wildly popular than others.......it seems the odds of coming up with yet a new JEM that's going to "hit" are much less than the guaranteed pandemonium that will take over if an old popular model is reissued. It just seems to make sense. Plus,,,wouldn't it make sense if Vai were to make sure all of the recent photos of him were with current available models to bolster sales? I don't know,,,but I'm predicting this as many others are.

Re: JEM reissue prediction???
Normally I would disagree, but your point is well made. Probably the only jems I would buy new are the SK and BFP. So they would get 1 sale at least if they released either of them

I predict none.
I think Steve is a guy to look fowards not backwards.
Having said that my heart is after a LNG reissue, or the UV77MC.

LNG, SK, or BFP. But I'm betting it's not gonna happen.

Re: JEM reissue prediction???
I don't think you'll see any of them reissued either.
To quote Chris Rock, "Never say never?!? I'm saying never!!!"
It would be cool to see some of the old prototypes actually put into production, like Neville or the OMC.

Re: JEM reissue prediction???
Yeah Id have to agree although a reissue of all 3 original Jems would sell like hot cakes....
a new ground breaking Jem design with some new gimmick seems like the order of the day for a Vai model...

Possibly a fixed bridge with a gaudy VAI logo on the body!! Nah, it'd never happen

I would be mad as all get out if I was an original LNG owner if they reissued that guitar.

NEW
What about a GFP (green floral pattern)
or
White body, chrome/gold/black harware, with neon multi colored lions claw, knobs, pickups, trem cover, back plates, logo, vine, and inside the monkey grip...similar to a Jason Becker type thing yet uniquely different (Some photoshop talented guy better show me something like this...please)
REISSUED
UV77MC
or
BFP
or
GMC
or
PMC
PROTOTYPE
Nylon string Euphoria
or
FTLOG Universe
