jem set-up question
I'm looking for someone in the Portland, Oregon area that can do set-up for my jem's, I live in Astoria, and the guy I've been taking them to just can't seem to get it right, at a cost of course, + I seem to get a new little nick or scratch every time I take them to this dumb*ss! Please if you know of someone who can do the job right, I would appreciate your input. I'm not quite ready to tackle the job myself, I still wan't to get a little more informed before I have a go at it on my own. Thanks much!JCA

Re: jem set-up question
Did you look at Rich's site? (Ibanez Rules, linked at the top) His site has an entire section devoted to this.
I understand how you feel, but if you have some patience, it's not really that hard to set up your own guitar. I'm FAR from being handy, and was scared to death to work on my own guitars when I was younger, but even I do all of my own setups.
Have faith in yourself, and you'll be just fine!

Re: jem set-up question
All right, I'll read up on the info on Rich's site again, thanks for your response Ohio, and what is probably the kick in the arse I needed to just do it myself, I've allways worked on my own guitars, but the floating trem has kind of given me fit's at times, and at least if either the 777dy or the 7vwh get scratched, well at least it was me and not somone else.I have all of the tools I need to do the job now, since they didn't come with either of the guitars, so I don't have any valid excuse to have them done by somone else. Thanks again, this is the coolest site, I think I am the only one in this entire county who even knows what a Jem is, and what they have in their hands when they play it, truly awsome guitars.JCA
