JEM sighting : Vanessa Mae's band

Last night I went to see Vanessa Mae. The guitarist had an FP. My eyes kept going back and forth between the JEM (and it's glowing vine) and Vanessa throughout out the show.

She's a violinist right? I think I have some of her CDs. Cool stuff.

Yes, and she's a downright shredder.
Vanessa and the band, including the bass player had Line6 floorboards. I coudn't see the rack, but probably they had POD Pros.

She used an electric violin (w/distortion) on some of songs and she was actually running it through the POD. She even used WAH on one of the pieces.

you're kidding... that sounds great. do they do classical stuff, or do they write rock tiunes with lead violin? I don't think i've ever heard her name before... that sounds fascinating.

The fact that she's stunningly gorgeous doesn't hurt either.

No kidding, I'd marry her without even thinking.

The overall sound of the band, especially on the Toccata Fugue, The part from 'The Four Seasons' and Hocus Pocus was a lot heavier than the albums . They had some different funky, pop tunes as well with the violin always in the lead of course. They were all good.

Totally with you there.

She's extremely proficient on the violin as well, but she uses mostly old classical compositions and spices them up with modern rock sound.
One of the reasons my dad doesn't like her.
To him changing Mozart, Paganini and Vivaldi like that is a sacrilege.

She is HOT though. Hot, hot, hot.
