Jem tone control upgrade review

i just installed it today and im very happy with it. i put it in my 777DY and it only took about 15 minutes to install.
now the review...
ive noticed that when turnin down the volume on a distortion channel the guitar cleans up A LOT better. when your on clean and you turn down the tone knob it gives it a real nice jazzy tone with out any mud in the mix. probably the best upgrade for your guitar for $7. other than the $4 kill switch haha

No, that's a photo of a strat cavity. I was merely showing an example of where the cap goes...

Re: Jem tone control upgrade review

i'll chime in... here's a shot of these caps in my S5470:

Not bad for what they're worth... I do agree the volume rolls are much smoother and the tone is more sensitive to subtle changes. These caps are "taming" the D-activator X bridge and D-Activator neck for doing blues and jazz and turns into a hi-gain beast when both knobs are ten.
I got these as a couple buddies of mine installed 'em on their axes (SC and an S Ibanez's) and they were happy with how dynamic their axes sound with 'em.
So ya, not that any of these guitars are JEM-related but i wouldn't mind getting another set for my 777VBK
