JEM VBK VALUE AND COOL FACTOR?

Hi People,

Not sure if this is the right place to start this thread....

How sought after is the Jem VBK, they look amazing to me.

Is this one of the 'cheaper' Jems and any idea how much a great condition VBK is worth without the case?

I have a really nice specimen which I'm thinking about selling.

Thanks

well as guy came to me and offered $900, but as JEM is a JEM they all the play great and it all comes down to preference. also, i hear a rumor that parts of the vine came from cloth from steve vai's couch... WTF?

Re: JEM VBK VALUE AND COOL FACTOR?

lol

that's a new one. The original Floral pattern Jems came from Steve's mom's curtains and the production ones are based on that design.

Who do you think would win in a fight....Steve's couch or his mom's curtains?

I'd have to go with the couch becuase it's heavier.

IMO, the VBK is one of the coolest Jems of that era. It draws attention, but subtly, not like the flourescent ones which just scream at you like an obnoxious 3 year old.

They are fantastic guitars. I couldn't be happier withh mine. I have had a $1000 offer for it. All Jems play great and this one is know exception. I have also been noticing around the forum that the VBK has been getting alot of positive attention.

How about I buck the trend and confess to not liking them? Doesn't stand out from the crowd enough, imo...

Yeah...didn't realise you contacted the buyer to tell her it was worth £300 less than what she paid for, now you're offering £700...what gives???

Well, the arguement can be made that "If Paper > Rock THEN Curtains cover Couch"

Also Im a fan of VBK probably third favorite behind GMC and PBK.

Also I heard that part of the inlays was actually green chunks taken from the rainbow where Steve met the leprechaun who gave hium his guitar playing abilities, not sure if its true or not.
Maybe just a rumor.
