Jem77BFP

What would you say about them? appart of how cool they look

Sbdy offered me a nice one but do not have the opportunity to try it.

I love my 7Vwh but with basswood and those pickups... I do not know what to expect.

Re: Jem77BFP

They're getting more and more desirable so you could probably sell it on for what you buy it for.

Or you'll love it and they'll have to pry it from your cold dead fingers

Re: Jem77BFP

Love 'em. Got mine as an afterthought when I first bought a regular FP. The FP has hardly been touched since. I think it's something about the maple fretboard that does it for me, I'm not sure but when it's on it's really on.

If it's in really good condition as the seller says and the price isn't crazy, buy it and offer it to me.

Re: Jem77BFP

I love Her because:

1. She's my first and actually only Jem
2. Love maple fretboards
3. Love vine

I'm not so happy about the PAF PRO at the bridge as I like to have some more bite; really love the neck one though and I didn't imagine it would have given me so much pleasure!

One of the best sounds I've ever heard, I even prefer it to my Les Paul neck tone

Re: Jem77BFP

Had mine since 1991 and will never get rid of it. One refret. Stolen and recovered once. Dimarzio Norton in the Bridge Position. Ive had unlimited use of an FP, 777VBK and a 7PBK. The BFP is still my fave. ....I think there is just something about maple........

i'f you see one dont buy it.....let me know, i'll buy it instead!

That sounds like one hell of a story! Stolen and recovered?

Beautiful BFP by the way - that one is one of the best I've seen

Nice looking guitar. Just shows how the vine on the SBL could look with a maple board. Although, I like the VSBL the way it is.

Hmmm, where's the pic of Jim's BFP? Not here yet?

If I am ever fortunate enough to own a Jem, that is the model I most want!

Cool color and pattern, maple board and the vine!

I agree - I like the VSBL and whatnot, but I think the maple would've shown off the vine a bit more.

Re: Jem77BFP

I got one, beat up as hell, before I strip it I played it for an hour, the neck is so damn comfortable even though the fret is worn out, I scolded the owner before buying it from him, now I don't have the money to restore it yet maybe later

I adored mine. Great player, amazing sound, they are fantastic. They don't look nearly as bright in person though, they just look almost solid dark blue, only with direct light or a camera flash do you really see the pattern.

Re: Jem77BFP

Hola Rufes,
Your main axe is the 7Vwh so you will miss the AANJ. It's an "old style jem" and it sound similar to the FP (i can send you mp3 if you wish) but maple fretboard makes it more desirable.
Go for it!!, and in the case you have problems just let me know and she will have a new owner in Malllorca.
Un saludo.
