Jem77brmr

how many of you guys have them? just asking as i have jsut got to see one in person so to speak. have to say didnt like what i saw. the reason for this is it was all shiny with one fingerprint on but looking at it you could see scratchs in the atual finish , you could only see them at a certain angle though.

dont want to say that they are all bad ar anything but this would have put me off for sure, yes i know about the cracks and stuff and that ibanez wont guarentee them , thats ok i guess but i just was wondering how many people have bought them . the shop i got my j custom at said they wont stock them because of the warantee issue.

im sure they sound cool as i love the breeds and basswood sound, does the top (plastic or what it is) make a vast differance in sound to to say the dbk?

Re: Jem77brmr

I dont think the top matters much. If it was that bad, people wouldnt buy it and Ibanez wouldnt produce it. I dont have one, but Ive played it many times, and I was about to buy it a few months back. But decided on a FP. Its a great guitar but I think its a bit overpriced.

Re: Jem77brmr

For me its the least faithfully reproduced of Vai's jems. Where's the leds in the fretboard, or at least a vine?

AU$5,500 - no thanks.

Re: Jem77brmr

I have had mine for about 10 months now and love it. I have not had any problems with scratching or cracking. I love the sound of it more than any of my other jems and it is my #1 guitar right now.

I have a 7VWH, and I played the bad horsie in a Sam Ash one time and I really hated the feel of it. It just felt like an rg.

Mine WILL have a vine. I'll let you know what I think when I receive and play it, but I have played one and I really liked the neck.

A vine wouldn't look good on it. Pyramids, on the other hand...

Re: Jem77brmr

I saw one in guitar store but I didn't play it for some reason? Oh yeah the reason was that there was Carvin California Carved Top which had all my attention.

Good choice, the FP is nice and I would choose that over a BRMR anyday.

I've seen one with a chrome vine before and it looked sweet as hell.

Re: Jem77brmr

It's pretty the same as 7DBK (i noticed only differences in neck), but at all it's very fast, light and great sounding guitar- but if I were you i'd buy 7DBK as it is cheaper simply- sound is almost the same.

The biggest disadvantage of Bad Horsie is it's finish yes- it will go fingerprinted on all the body - if you playing it of course (my friend is doing it only for 1 month) and it looks really bad. It's very hard to clean, not to mention pickguard- IT LOOKS COOL, BUT ONLY AFTER OPENING BRAND NEW CASE !!
