My first (and maybe only) JEM arrived last week. I have been waiting for a black JEM with scalloped frets and an AANJ for over 10 years.
I know that some of you do not like black guitars and that Ibanez should find a different color instead of mixing them all together to get black. To you, I must say, "Thank you" for not buying one and prolonging my 5 month wait any longer. For those of you that do like black guitars, I say, "It's pretty sweet and it was well worth the wait. Don't worry fretboard gurus, I used fret doctor on it after all of the pics.

BTW: I really like that mod you did! Now that Jem looks better to me. Reminds me of the PBK. Thumbs up man.

Guess I have to see it in person first as pics usually never compare. It's not on my buy list though.

excellent mode. The guitar looks much much better. Did you replace the pickups or just used white bobbin toppers?

I really like the changes to make it look more like the 7pbk from way back when. Much classier, I think! Back in college one of the guys I used to play with had a pbk, it was my first Jem to touch, probably will always be one of my favorites. Congrats on your 'get', it makes me almost want one for myself.
