JEM7BSB Pickguard Copy Wanted

Does anyone make a copy of the BSB pickguard for the RG550?

Thanks!

It should be the same shape as a 550 plate

I have a new Ibanez BSB plate for £50 + P&P

I'm pretty sure that the pick guard for the RG350 (EX?) is the same as a BSB, and should probably fit a 550 (I think I heard somewhere that RG and JEM pick guards differ in the placement of screw holes, but I could be wrong).

Re: JEM7BSB Pickguard Copy Wanted

The 350 pickguard is different to the 550/JEM. Compare both side by side and you'll see that the 350 curves more near the tone knob. The screw placement, as you said, is also different.

Jpanese guitars will all have the same hole location. Offshore builds will differ, sometimes greatly.

Sorry, I must have got confused somewhere. I guess the 550 was always supposed to be the "not a JEM, JEM" guitar, so that makes sense.

Re: JEM7BSB Pickguard Copy Wanted

Sorry. I did speak to Max 3 weeks ago about this and then saw this thread and thought I had to move fast or else I would not get my hands on a genuine BSB guard.
Ibanez in the UK do not move fast when supplying spare parts, put an order in and wait 6 to 12 months for them to come.
Again sorry, hope you get one soon.

i see you live in the bay too
you can try jeannie pickguards http://home.comcast.net/~pickguards/
they are located in pittsburg, which is about an hour north
although they dont have a storefront, its usually easier dealing with a company that is close
