JEM7DBK

I'm about to buy a used DBK, what do you guys think of them? How do breeds compare to evo's?

Re: JEM7DBK

In my opinion breeds are far more usable and have a better tone than evos, they are warmer and fuller of bass tones, they definitely sound fatter, and screem hard as well!

Re: JEM7DBK

I ended up getting rid of everything with Evo's and kept just one, it's got the Breed's in it. The Evo's were too harsh compared with everything else I had, if I was forced to change guitars on the fly it was difficult to do, the amp settings had to be completely different on the EQ to make it work.

Re: JEM7DBK

I used to have a DBK, it was great and a bit flashy with the drip finish and mirror guard IMHO. The screw inlays are a bit dull though. Breeds are great too.

You can't go wrong with a DBK, great value for money

Re: JEM7DBK

I prefer Breeds over Evos, just a much fatter and warmer tone, especially through my tubes...IMHO

Re: JEM7DBK

I have tried them and I really liked them. As others have said they are really usable and pretty versatile. Personally I don't lik the finish, but in every other way they are fine guitars.

ps I like evos

Re: JEM7DBK

I like breeds over evo's. I think dbk's are brilliant guitars and if I got the chance to jump on one I probably would.
