jem7v or jem555

Well. I don't think anybody here's gonna recommend you get a 555. Save up some money, you wouldn't regret it.

i say 555, great guitar imo, sounds amazing, evo pick ups, and doesnt cost a bomb, think of all the other **** you could buy with the extra money from buying the 555?

I would go for a used jem 7v over a new 555.

I paid £950 a few weeks ago for my Jem7V and its in mint condition, (1994), EVOs ebony board, I`d hold on mate and look out for a bargin

Save up and get the 7V. Every time. You don't want a case of the whatifs.

Yeah I went into my local guitar center arround Christmas and played an 08 Jem for like 3 hours and fell in love. It was on sale for 1799, i went home grabbed my Gibson LP studio i rarely play, a bunch of pedals and traded them all in towards it. Best decision I ever made.

I wouldn't consider the 555. I'd be patient and get the guitar of my dreams. In the long run you'd be happier instead of always thinking, "I should have waited." Or doing what a lot of other people do and upgrading a 555. That just makes you spend the difference between it and the 7V and still you aren't really in the same catergory IMHO. So you wouldn't really be spending any less and having the same amount of satisfaction as the advertisements would have you believe. Plus, that half vine inlay is as fugly as a girl with too few teeth and too many tatoos.

The 555 is a nice guitar, BUT!!! Save up and buy the real thing.

Or buy a RG5xx or RG7xx, stick some Dimarzio's in it, and you'll have a better guitar then you would have with the 555. Probably at lower costs!

If you really want the JEM, save up!!
