Jems and Wolfgangs

Hi guys, it's been a while since I visited Jemsite. I've been so busy lately that I just have'nt had the time. Anyway, last night I went with a friend to his guitarist's house to watch them jam. This guy plays Peavey wolfies, has a 5150 amp, and is heavily into VH. We started talking guitars and he asked if I wanted to play the wolfie. Wow! I was impressed. This guitar sounded fantastic, and felt pretty good too. I have'nt touched a Peavey guitar since they first started making them. He then told me he likes Ibanez, but just can't get used to the necks. After a few beers we decided to come back to my house and let him check out my Jems. Hehehe... what can I say, he was totally blown away! Of course, I did'nt let him touch my DNA or UVMC. But he did play the 90th, VWH, and DY. He really seemed to like the profile of the DY because it has the thickest neck of all. He also dug the Evo's in the 90th and VWH, and fell in love with the lo-pros. So, I may have created a monster and a possible Ibanez convert.

BTW, something good also happened to me. They asked me to join the band.

Congrats on being asked to join the band!

Hopefully it's because they were so impressed with your guitar playing
rather then your guitar collection!

If you like the Wolfies you should check out the EB/MM Axis...IMO better, that's why I bought it.

And I might get soooo flamed for this but really the main thing that makes me want to own an Ibanez or Ibanez 'custom' would be the neck; their necks are great. The rest is comparable to some other great companies. But the necks are some of the best.

DO NOT check them out at Guitar Center. I just got back from there and the prices are completly insane. How can they stay in business?

I got mine at a kinda local place...it has the best quilt top I have ever seen on any guitar, transparent blue. I'll keep it till the day I die.

Raven, I was asked after playing and well before viewing the guitars. So, you're in Wheaton? I'm in Carol Stream, we're practically neighbors.
