I would like my tremolo bar to hang fairly loosely, but not sloppy. I understand that if I remove one of the plastic washers on the arm, it will "loosen" the bar. My question is, which plastic washer do I remove? The one closest to the end of the bar or the one closest to the right angle in the bar?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Kev

Re: JemVWH

Is your JEM new? in case that it is, just wait a few days and the bar will be completely loose, so don´t remove the washers, and if you want it more stiff later, you could try with teflon tape or nail polish under the washers

Re: JemVWH

For the others, who like more firm arm, nail polish is good tip,but even better solution could be Head Cement, for use in Fly Tying.
(you can ask in the Fly Fishing store nearby ...)

For those who like more loosen arm, previous advice is excellent-just wait a little bit.

Cheers,
BH

Re: JemVWH

speaking of nail varnish and 7vwh.i use clear varnish on the gold hardware, this prevents the gold from daily use.i got this idea from a jemsite member, works mighty fine aswell.
