Got it on the 'bay for a cool $755! That's quite a deal even for a '99, and it's also signed (3 times). Waiting a week for it to get here will be tough, but I sill have my JS1WH to keep me company...

Yeah... I'll probably take the one on the pickguard off with some alcohol, and maybe the one on the body too. The one on the back of the headstock is pretty sweet, though.

I tried a JEM about 15 years ago (I think it was a desert yellow), and the thin neck put me off. I've had my JS for a long time, and I've started to wish it had a flatter fretboard radius. Plus I think the JEM is the most beautiful guitar I've seen, so the hunt for a used 7DBK was on!

I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, and Ed Roman has quite a collection in his store. He had a JEM10 on display, and I just about had to change my shorts when I saw it... God it is nice! He didn't have a single 7DBK though, so I bought the next one that came up on 'bay.

While I'm at it, does anyone know where I can download the 1999 Ibanez catalogue? This site has copies up to '97 I think.

I was thinking about getting that same one myself so I could have a 2nd DBK, went for a great price. You could always just get a new pickguard instead of taking the sig of the old one, so you could always keep it or sell it or something.

Hmmm...your tastes must have changed. The DBK is the thinnest Jem neck available. Actually the DY's neck is quite fat in comparision. All the 777's were fatter.

Cool man, I just grabbed one myself. I paid about $120 more though because of an idiot in the last minute.

Very cool guitars, the 7DBKs. You'll love the Breed pickups, they're great.

Yeah, I knew that going in. However, I'll still have the JS for whenever I want to grind out the blues instead of shredding. I think they'll be very complementary guitars, but now I need to go look for a fixed bridge model! Maybe an SZ...?
