Just picked up a 93 7VWH

Hey everyone - new to the board. I just picked up a 1993 7VWH - the serial number is F325320. It had been thrown around the local GC for a few weeks, and was in pretty rough shape. Lots of chips, scratches, dings, and all sorts of nastiness everywhere. The guitar had been marked down quite a bit, and I got them down to $700 (I traded in an unused import Jackson as well, so my out-of-pocket was about $450). Most pieces were rusted, and it has definitely been played alot in the past. It did have a brand new Lo-Pro Edge in black that was installed tho After a complete disassembly and cleaning, I added black Gotohs, black locking nut, and replaced all hardware with identical black pieces - except for the retainer bar. It's an awesome instrument - my first Ibanez. I'm a sucker for ebony boards but dayum, the boards on these guitars are out of this world Here's a couple of pics:

I have always preffered the black hardware myself.
The gold was always just OTT for me.

Thanks guys for the comments. I'm really diggin this guitar! One thing I've gotta change - even though the trem is sitting as deep as it can go, the action is still a little high for my liking. Nothing that a little shim in the neck pocket won't fix ;-) The DiMarzio's sound f'n awesome. Kudos to everyone for a great forum too - the wealth of knowledge here is incredible.

They are all gold hardware, he swapped it out due to the trem being replaced with a black one, and he prefers black.

Nice catch for 700 bucks. I would stunt on it too at that price.
