Just won a FleaBay Jem. . .
Okay, I didn't think that I'd win this auction, but I did and now I find out that this 7VH will not be shipped with a case and am a bit concerned. The guy said he'd have it packaged by a professional (probably UPS store or something), but I just don't know if that's a good idea or not. According to the serial number provided, it's a 97 in great shape (accoridng to description) and I"d liek to it stay that way (as long as it's also not a fake). So, any advice would be helpful before I paypal this thing in. And yes, the ****er has zero feedback and didn't get better images of the guitar to me, either. So, I'm always a bit cautious on these things. . .

You should at least get paypal protection.... (for what its worth!), but if the guy has zero feedback and wont sent you any detailed pics then I'd back out of that auction win straight away, you might get a negative feedback hit but who cares, its better than making a serious loss of your hard earned!

It's item number 280078789976 and I'd apprecdiate any investigative feedback. The serial number he provided was f9708568. And no, I haven't Pay Palled yet! THANKS GUYS!

Re: Just won a FleaBay Jem. . .
Hey was that the jem 7vwh that went for $865? I looked at the pics and noticed that the
monkey grip
was a little off. It was a bad pic but looked like the monkey grip was not placed right....it should start at the middle pickup and end around the 22nd/21st fret. This guitar looked like the monkey grip started before the middle pickup and ended at the begining of the fretboard....not sure if its a bad pic or what. Check out the other jem "copy" listed and the monkey grip was the same way...so that's what stopped me from bidding on it.

Honestly man, if he can't provide multiple high res pics I wouldn't do it. Especially since he only posted 1 blurry pic and has the grammar of a 4 year old.

100% he's been screwed up the ass. Sorry to be blunt, but this is not a time for indecision - pull out, if youve paid already get your money back, jump into your car with a baseball bat - do whatever you have to do, 100% its fake.

Re: Just won a FleaBay Jem. . .
I think it's always a red flag when someone is selling a guitar for over $500 and cannot be troubled to take more than one crappy picture of the item. Hell, I've posted up to 6 pictures of a freaking $50
guitar body
because (a) it only takes a couple minutes more and (b) the buyer knows what they're getting, no ambiguous crap.
Also, if the deal is too good to be true, (wait for it...) IT PROBABLY IS!

Re: Just won a FleaBay Jem. . .
Yup he game me the same serial number and i almost did a deal off of **** for $1200. Then i noticed the fretboard wasn't as dark as it should be and the monkey grip was off. Talked to the guy and he told me it can't be a fake cause he paid $1900 at a
music store
for it....question is how can someone pay $1900 for a 97' 7vwh?!!! I knew it was a fake and told him i won't bid or buy it unless i get more pics, of course he couldn't supply them.
