Justin Hawkins plays a Jem!
From the Darkness' website-
'There has also been a new addition to Justin's family of guitars - although he's got some way to go before he catches up with Nigel Tufnel! On the last album Justin used his very rare Dan Armstrong perspex guitar to cut through the Les Paul crunch for his solos. This time around he's recruited a
Steve Vai
signature edition
Ibanez Jem
with detailing uncannily similar to his right-arm tattoo. Apparently its slimmer neck means faster solos, which can only be a good thing. Don't worry, though, you haven't seen the last of Justin's signature Les Pauls. Nothing can quite match their "bottom".'

Re: Justin Hawkins plays a Jem!
I think the humourous part is the fact that he's sat there playing a Jem, yet in the background there is a Gibson box (that probably has an LP in it) that says "Only a Gibson is good enough"

In that case it should say "Only Gibson is good enough... for Dan"

Re: Justin Hawkins plays a Jem!
The Darkness are a great band, one of the only British bands that actually seems to have fun whilst playing, along with The Glitterati. I say long live Justin and his amazing Ibanez custom! At least people will see someone relatively famous playing an Ibanez and maybe go out and buy one, and as we all know that leads directly to Vai, Satch et al. And to all the Darkness naysayers......get a life and learn to have fun!!!! Long live rock n roll!!

Re: Justin Hawkins plays a Jem!
I guess besides Ibanez they also discovered Line 6.
Or Line 6 discovered them.....
On the left a Pod XT and behind him a Line 6 combo.
Are these guys endorsed by Line 6?

Why? God why? Justin uses Marshalls and Dan uses Mesas...I'll cry if they switch to Line 6!

Re: Justin Hawkins plays a Jem!
Tons of bands use Line6 gear to practice/record with, but not necessarily as the main source of application. I remember seing a picture of some Line6 gear in Metallica's studio as well.
