avoid at all costs - keep your guitar in a room which keeps a constant temperature, or as close as you can get to it - if you have to keep it in a room with a radiator, keep the guitar in it's case, with the case closed so that the guitar acclimatises to temperature changes as gradually as possible, and keep the case low (hot air rises), and as far from the radiator as you can manage ....... otherwise you'll get finger cramps from adjusting the
truss rod every few seconds! (just kidding on that last point, but the set up will waiver around)
