The gold poles are an option from DiMarzio for an extra $10 per pickup. The black tele is a 50th anniversary while the purple is a mutt with a swamp ash body and Duncan L'il 59 in the bridge, wired to the tone pot to roll off one coil so it will twang like a tele, but crank the tone knob and it sounds kind of like an SG. Nice to know I'm not the only one here with GAS!

Dude, I've gotta step up an defend the old Rickster. He rocks. Wrote songs that dudes AND chicks liked. "Jessies Girl" is pure sweetness. Don't knock the guy for having a pretty boy face. He knows how to rock, prolly more than many of us on this forum.
