Astoria Mystery

If you listen to the commentary you will find out that the audio and video was taken from two different nights. For example another accurance of this type of event happens during "Bad Horsie" SSV is playing the "mirror" JEM for the entire song and then in the last like ten seconds he switches to a VWH, not sure which JEM that was though. I thought was a little freaky till one night I decided to listen to the commentary. SSV explains it all. I was extremely bored one night.

It can still be quite tricky to actually work out which guitar you're hearing in the audio though as most of the time the syncronisation of the fingers is in time with the audio on both of the nights.

It's not as bad as the Van Halen Live Right Here Right Now video, where Sammy and Ed are wearing completely different clothing from one shot to the next during the same song.

Its a technique called "cross-cutting" I believe, as its said in the Media industry anyway. They use it everywhere, but technology is good nowadays, and it is very tricky to tell. Thats technology for ya!
