Locking Post

I'm unable to adjust the locking mechanism on one of my bridges. On the treble side, I can insert the wrench into the slot and tighten just fine. On the bass side, when I insert the wrench, it never finds the slot or groove. Has anyone had this problem or know how to remedy it? Thanks.

Re: Locking Post

assiming these are the locking posts with set-screws from ibanez guitars w/ edge/lopro...

are you sure the set screw is not turning and just needs to be tightened alot?

best way to check is to remove the trem and inspect the stud... glen

Re: Locking Post

Yes, they are the locking posts from Ibanez (Edge).

The wrench just never cathes a groove, as if there weren't one there.

Re: Locking Post

You sure you are using the right sizes (even though you treble side worked)? You need one very big and one really small. Like in 0,5mm....

Edge/Lopro trem anchor locking setscrews use a 1.5mm allen wrench for both sides (Bass/Treble)

Re: Locking Post

it's the same wrench that works on my 11 other Ibanez bridges. If I take it apart, will I be able to see in that area, to determine the cause?

Re: Locking Post

Ok if that works work on 11 of your Ibanez guitars then it's indeed not the wrench. If you take it apart you might be able to see it I think.
