Lol he can't post the link unless he has 20 posts. I'm not sure if the mods will allow this, but you can PM me the link (I'm not sure if that'll work as well), and I'll post it up for you.

Re: looking to get my first jem

thanks for the replies.

i posted it over on the dean forums, theres a few guys from here over there and they looked at it for me.

it apparently was a VERY good fake. but a fake nonetheless.

now....

to find myself a good used jem. i have a feeling im going to be looking for months to find a good deal. kinda made the decision to just take what ive saved from selling my last guitar and wait.

not playing at all though is really going to suck though, especially since im a newish player but such is life i guess.

thanks again,

me

You can PM me a link to pics and I'll post it for you. Also, there are lots of gpood guitars out there, have you tried one of the recent 550 reissues?

Re: looking to get my first jem

The placement of the truss rod screws and the logo on the headstock look off compared to pictures of a Jem7vwh on Rich's Namm report (Ibanezrules.com).

Edit: Just saw Rich has chimed in. The authority has spoken.

Re: looking to get my first jem

Wow,,,so these are how the fakes are looking. Besides the huge gaps around the bridge
and the odd truss rod cover, that one is CLOSE. What else am I not seeing?? I was
gonna take my 7Vwh out of the case to compare to each of the pictures, but I'm
just too tired tonight. This fake stuff is getting scary. I wouldn't want to be hunting for
a used 7Vwh right now. Go on **** with some money to burn and not carefully
scrutinizing every detail and it would be so easy to get duped.

Re: looking to get my first jem

im so glad i found you guys to get my back.

i think im just gonna put one on lay a way or maybe get a js 1000

i havent decided. what im looking for is VERSATILITY IN TONE. i love hard rock, metal, fusion. but i also LOVE blues (i cant stop playing joe bonamassa's cd's lately). I know a jem can hit just about any tone i need to with a decent amp (which i have).
