wow! congrats! my fave ones the EVH and the stripped JEM. the dark red RG with yellow/green pickups looks great also.

but, am i seeing good, is the Cliplock on the 555... GREY!?!

Yep, cliplock is grey. I am thinking of experimenting with putting some dye on a white cliplock strap.

Cheers, it is my pride and joy - sounds and feels absolutely amazing too. It started life as a Jem VBK in 1991. All it has had done to it is have the black stripped off. Everything else is original - oh except the tone and volume knobs but I still have the originals.

Yes, still have the 520 with zebra, however this has actually grown - a second 520 has zebras and the third (brown) has a FRED (zebra) waiting for installation and untill I get a matching PAF Pro for the bridge (when one becomes available) both will be installed at once rather than having to pull apart the guitar twice.

The 520s are my players guitars. They are relatively cheap, have all the features I love (i.e great neck), MIJ hardware, easy upgrade on the pickups, mahogany body with a nice sapele transparent finish.

If you don't have one GET ONE they are a great purchase.
